Expression
We all partake of chance to make expressions
Relieving us of all ongoing strain
It all comes down to points to pound in sessions
Expressing joy, relieving all the pain
Pent up demands come bursting across
The silence in which we can't think
At madness bemused, we all make a toss
To drown our dismay in the sink
The Voice is the choice to sing it aloud
Relieving the stress of the void
That captures the pain of the misery's shroud
To the cosmos at large, you employed
The tool at your disposal is just grand
To voice the anguish is at your command
Amazing that you use it, oh, so well
Exposing all the painful past of hell
My intent to ring the future knell
Resounding clarion of life on bell
I understand the cosmos now
As maybe you do not
My rhoems do express, somehow
The lines within the plot
This awful task that fell to me
With no recourse to cease
Ride the anonymity
Of all of our Humanity
Reveal the love and peace
The burden of it fell to me
Because my gender hid from sight
That which just my heart could see
In wracking pain of night
Hidden 'neath the dark and pain
The madness held its awful reign
For far too long
Without a song
To ride the Love to life
Remitting witless strife
To the depth of hell
Then, ring that newborn bell
Seems to be the tell
Sorry, need a scratch pad for a thought that fits nowhere in particular. Each year's newborns start work one year later than the previous year until no one needs to work. I know that sounds whacky but that's where we've been headed for a century and, now that AI and robotics are being funded like mad, it's time to begin considering what is done about it.
So, this year's newborns (2025) would start, say, at 21 years of age or 2046 and next year's newborns (2o26) start work one year older, start at 22 or 2048, government/society would pay them until the day they started working. Population and meaningful employment have been at cross-purposes for at least a century. Population goes up and number of jobs goes down with no regard for the humans. How weird is that? This would solve that completely in one hundred and forty years. The only issue is where does the money come from to fund this orderly retreat from the mad concept of debt? The amount has to fund each child born at the cost of food, shelter, clothes and health until they begin to be required to work. I must say that health should be an outlier. The astronomical cost of health emergencies makes it clear that it cannot be calculated per person. It must be single payer system, in other words a government entity. That has always been the point. Housing should be similar, really.
It seems to me that the calculations for these costs as government costs implies that the government should be able to determine the number of children born. Birth would become regulated. I'm sure that freaks out any prehuman dedicated to remaining so.
Government should also be able to determine how much income is necessary for the populace per dollar GDP and charge for every dollar of GDP for the purpose of funding a society that needs no workers. Any money issued to newborns for this scheme would not be taxed. Tricky, sticky.
This is a nice change from my other effort to make humanity function like a Human.
The only problem is editing. I just don't feel like it, though I may toy with these ideas some, see if I can clean them up.
My biggest problem, right now, is finding where this should reside. While the rhoetry belongs on both rhoetry sites, I think Tapestry gets the nod, since I've already begun using it as a platform for flighty thoughts.
