As I look across all time
This lifetimes spent in thought and rhyme
Amazing as it seems
Between the toils of nonsense spent
Away from spoilage mankind lent
There always were the dreams
A sense, a need, a way to cope
A song of life, a note of hope
Resplendently, it gleams
Crescendoes grow within the song
A crest sustaining lifetime long
Awashing heart in streams
Of coolness of a springtime breeze
And colours of the autumn leaves
In sunlight's golden beams
I'll dream of it until the time
The way is lit in words of rhyme
