The Impossible Day √
Every day when I wake up
Put something bold into my cup
A fancy smile or something fey
A thought to last throughout the day
And, if a little silly too
A smile could last the whole day through
I see, a few examples, now
Might help the what, but not the how
If speed of light were tied unto
The rate at which the cosmos blew
What, then, would happen, if the fact
Expansion went and jumped the track?
Your dog, like mine, might be quite sweet
But, what if he began to tweet?
This all may seem quite silly
But surely is the point
Like wobbly, new born filly
Would, so surely, day, anoint
A special feeling for the day
To keep the oft-mundane at bay
One of my favorites of all time
My baby's birthday danced in rhyme
And one she'll never understand
To watch the sun rise o'er the land
