Threshold
Within the mind, the silence grows and softens all the winds
The echoes off the canyon walls of whiteness so begins
A tale of wanderings in length, the surety absurd
The deepness of the forest, now, precludes a single word
The way is deep and meaningful, the darkness only right
But, as you cross that threshold bare, the meaning only light
To wiggle out a word or two, the meaning for the drums
The vista, now, so clear and bright, the song within you thrums
No time for tides or willanuck, the very air you breathe
Brings sense of life, momentous thrust, upheave all thoughts and seethe
The end and the beginning, now, are finally in sight
The end of all that one has known, transformed to what is right
